We listen more than we talk.
Before we ever sketched our first snack bowl, we spent hours watching parents feed their babies — at home, in restaurants, at parks, even in parked cars before daycare drop-off.
And we noticed something.
Again and again, the same small frustrations came up.
Not big, dramatic problems. Just tiny daily frictions that make feeding a little harder than it needs to be.
At Solinfant, those small frictions are our starting point.
So today, we want to share what we’ve heard — and what we’re building next.
What Parents Have Told Us (Without Always Saying It)
Over the past months, we’ve collected real feedback from real families. Here’s what keeps coming up:
| The frustration | What it sounds like |
|---|---|
| “The plate flips over” | “My baby just discovered she can lift the whole plate. Every meal is an earthquake.” |
| “The spoon doesn’t fit their hand” | “He wants to feed himself, but regular spoons are too long and too straight.” |
| “The diaper bag is a black hole” | “I know I packed the scissors somewhere. But where? Under the wipes? The onesies?” |
| “Warm food gets cold in 5 minutes” | “By the time we sit down at the park, the puree is already room temperature.” |
| “I’m carrying three bags” | “My stuff. Baby’s stuff. Feeding stuff. I have no hands left.” |
These aren’t design failures of other brands.
They’re just gaps — spaces where no one has quite solved the problem for the way parents actually live.
We intend to fill those gaps.
What We’re Building Next
Every new Solinfant product follows the same two rules we started with:
- Material safety — food-grade silicone, BPA-free plastic, nothing harmful
- Design safety — no sharp edges, no small loose parts, no tipping hazards
But now we’re adding a third rule:
- Real-life proof — tested outside the kitchen, in the mess of actual parenting
Here’s what’s coming:
1. Suction Baby Plate (No More Flying Food)
The problem it solves:
Babies are strong. Their favorite game is “flip the plate.” Food ends up on the floor, on the wall, on the dog.
Our solution:
A silicone plate with a strong, reliable suction base that actually stays stuck. Not just on high chair trays, but on restaurant tables, picnic benches, and unfamiliar surfaces.
Material safety check: Food-grade silicone, dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, sterilizer-safe.
Design safety check: Soft rounded edges, divided sections for different foods, no painted surfaces near food.
2. Easy-Grip Learning Spoon
The problem it solves:
Most baby spoons are mini versions of adult spoons. But a baby’s grip is different — they hold with their whole fist, not their fingers.
Our solution:
A short, curved, chunky-handled spoon designed for palmar grasp (the natural first grip). The angle helps food actually reach the mouth, not the chin.
Material safety check: BPA-free or silicone options. No hidden adhesives.
Design safety check: No choke-risk detachable parts. Rounded tip. Safe for teething gums.
3. Mommy Bag — Built for Feeding, Not Just Carrying
The problem it solves:
Most diaper bags were designed 20 years ago. They have a million pockets — none of them right for feeding tools.
Our solution:
A bag with:
- Insulated bottle pockets that actually keep milk warm (or cold)
- A dedicated feeding-tool compartment — scissors, spoon, snack bowl all in one clean place
- Wipe-clean interior because something will leak
- Crossbody or backpack straps — because hands are for babies, not bags
Coming in: Two sizes — everyday and travel.
4. More to Come (Tiny Updates, Big Differences)
- Larger snack bowl for toddlers who eat more than birds
- Portable placemat that sticks to tables (silicone, rollable)
- Formula/snack dispenser for one-handed pouring
We’ll announce each one as it’s ready — not before.
Our Development Philosophy: Products That Learn
We don’t design in a closed room.
We design in conversation — with parents, with babies, with grandparents, with daycare teachers.
That means:
- We prototype fast and test in real homes
- We fail quietly so you don’t have to
- We don’t launch a product until it solves one clear problem better than anything else
If a product doesn’t make your day noticeably easier, we don’t want to sell it to you.
We Want to Hear From You
This is where you come in.
We have ideas. But you have experience.
Tell us:
- What’s the one feeding frustration that no product has solved for you yet?
- If you could change one thing about your current diaper bag, what would it be?
- What would make you actually enjoy mealtime with your baby?
Leave a comment. Send an email. Find us on social media.
We read everything. And when we build something based on your idea, we’ll send you the first one — free.
A Brand That Grows With Your Family
Solinfant started with snack bowls and food scissors.
Then came sterilizer bags and silicone plates.
Soon: spoons that fit tiny fists, bags that fit real life, and tools that make happy feeding possible everywhere — not just at home.
We’re not trying to be the biggest baby brand.
We’re trying to be the one that listens best.
Final Thought
The best product isn’t the one with the most features.
It’s the one that makes you say:
“Oh. Finally. Someone actually thought about this.”
That’s what we’re building toward.
One small friction at a time.
Stay tuned. Better yet — stay in touch.
